Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
Martin Brodeur and Curtis Joseph are among the members of Team Canada's silver medal-winning 1996 world championship team who signed a Garry Galley blade insert offered here from the veteran defenseman's personal collection along with his Team Canada 1996 WHC game-worn helmet. Kariya, Galley, Ferraro, Duchesne, Thomas, Bodger and Richardson, are among the 15 autographs in fine silver paint pen on the bare blade insert. The notation “1996 Worlds Vienna” is written in the middle of the blade which has “Galley” stamped near the top;
Galley placed a black marker signature (slightly pale/smudged) with the number 33 he wore for Team Canada and the notation “96 Vienna” on the top of his white Cooper game-worn helmet. His #33 decals in red remain on the back along with the Hockey Canada decals on both sides of the helmet and a lightly faded “Warsteiner” sponsor’s foam-backed label glued on the front.
