Defenseman Alexei Emelin was selected by the Montreal Canadiens 84th overall in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft and played 7 seasons in the Russian Superleague and the KHL before joining the Montreal Canadiens for the 2011-12 season. He also represented his country at the World Junior Championships in 2004, 2005 and 2006, as well as the World Championships in 2007. We have a pair of jerseys offered, along with an early-1990s Russian team-signed stick. Considered the European Championships, the Euro Tour is viewed as the annual tune-up for the IIHF World Championships. Emelin’s red Team Russia Euro Tour jersey has everything sublimated on it, including his surname on a nameplate, and a sponsor patch on the lower front on a mesh plate. The jersey has Lutch tagging in the collar along with a size “56” flag tag. A good number of stick/slash marks are noticeable on the sleeves, especially the left one, with a long red paint transfer mark on the lower right sleeve. The second included jersey hails from Japan, with a stylized logo and number "3" heat-pressed on the front, with "3" and the name "Takeuchi" over the reverse. The small "Champion" logo is sewn on just above the front hem and a small washing instructions flap is attached to the inside hem. A series of game marks show, particularly on the front hem, and several small and unrepaired holes are on the front and another on the left sleeve. The stick is a TNCA “Enima” right-handed model, with Russian graphics on each side, with approx. 20 signing over both sides of the blade and lower shaft.
