Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019

Well stocked with veteran talent, the Stanley Cup-winning Toronto Maple Leafs had an aggregate team age of 31 in 1967, something that is unlikely to ever occur again. This absolutely beautiful limited-edition team-signed photo celebrates that victory, which aptly took place while a hockey-centric nation commemorated its confederacy. At 16” x 20”, the cream-coloured photo has been hand-numbered “756/967”, and nicely framed to full dimensions of roughly 24” x 28”. 19 members of that historic line-up have signed the photo in silver sharpie, with the signatures displaying well against the dark background. HOFers include Mahovlich, Bower, Stanley, Armstrong, Keon, Pulford, Pronovost and Red Kelly.
The signatures display no issues, with just the Mahovlich example slightly smeared. The additional signers include Baun, Shack, Pappin, Conacher, Hillman, Ellis and five others. It should be noted that there is heavy wear to the frame, with much of the surface worn away, with dust visible over sections of the matte and photo beneath the glass. There is also some masking tape residue along the left side of the glass and a few stains to the backing over the reverse.
