Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
The most desired pucks in the entire hobby, Art Ross/Tyer examples were first used by the NHL in 1942, with team logos first appearing in 1958. We have a collection of 5, with just a Black Hawks example needed to constitute a complete “Original Six” set. The Red Wings, Maple Leafs and Rangers examples are void of the “Made in” designation, placing the pucks in the 1962-64 time frame, while the Canadiens and Bruins examples both features the boxed Converse logos, with these appearing in 1967-68. Each puck remains in gorgeous condition with clean and intact rubberized logos, along with no unsightly wear/damage. The Rangers example exhibits light wear to the logos, while the gorgeous NOS Habs puck shows some crazing to the Canadiens logo, with the Bruins example exhibiting mild toning along with a small edge chip.
