Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
A rare opportunity, Classic Auctions is pleased to announce yet another partnership with the historic Montreal Canadiens franchise, one that will bring to auction a large and impressive bounty of jerseys fresh from the vast and seldom offered holdings of the storied hockey club. Examples are present from 2006-07 to 2014-15, with both important game-issued and game-worn jerseys offered, with a direct line from the actual player and the Canadiens franchise – to you, our loyal bidders. Each desirable jersey has inventory numbers from the Canadiens, with each to be accompanied by a letter of authenticity on Canadiens letterhead.
Featuring a pair of past NHLers who spent time with the Habs’ affiliate Hamilton Bulldogs, we have a pair of Montreal Canadiens away jerseys that were issued to Brian Willsie and Mark Mitera. Size tagging appears along the collar of each, with “1” handwritten, with embroidered NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines respectively. Styled with the famous and sacred “CH” team crest with embroidered detailing, the two V-necks have been accented with tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers (with holograms affixed), with each player’s name across the nameplate in single twill. Issued but never worn, the “Away Set 1” jerseys remain in wonderful condition. Both garments have numbered team patches affixed to the inside hems including “A02681” on the Willsie jersey and “A02666” on the Mitera example, with matching LOAs from the Canadiens to accompany each.
