Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
Awesome 1986-87 AHL Maine Mariners game-worn jersey is an orange and white mesh affair in the style of their NHL parent Philadelphia Flyers that was worn by center Paul Kobylarz. Size “52” is handwritten in ballpoint on the small blank flag tag in the back of the neck of this minor league beauty that displays some solid game wear. “Eagle” script logo is embroidered in white thread on the right rear tail and there is evidence of a former nameplate, so this game-worn jersey was probably recycled from a previous season for use by Kobylarz in his only season with the Mariners. There are a couple of big black diagonal marks on the front tail, and more game wear shows in pilling on the two fight straps inside the jersey, and board burns with red paint transfer on the front of the left shoulder.
