A Montreal draft pick in 1985, Brent Gilchrist would go on to play in 90 post-season playoff games in his career, tallying 31 points. This Detroit Red Wings jersey was worn by Gilchrist in 1999-00. The proper CCM and size tagging remains affixed to the collar, with additional embroidered NHL and CCM patches on the custom-shortened hem. Featuring a gorgeous winged-wheel crest along with the NHL 2000 patch over the right breast, the jersey also sports tackle twill numbers with the back letters sewn directly onto the jersey. Game-use includes numerous marks on the lower front and both sleeves, along with board burns and two team repairs, with one on each sleeve near the elbow.
The team stamp sits on the lower inner hem, and it divulges that this jersey is a “2nd Set” example. With a gorgeous team crest and historic NHL 2000 patch, this well-used uniform will be perfect for any shrine dedicated to Motown hockey.
