Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2016
A Conn Smythe trophy winner for his outstanding play in the 2000 Stanley Cup Playoffs, Scott Stevens was also the youngest player in NHL history to reach 1500 games played. This Team North America jersey was worn by Stevens in the 1998 All-Star Game, where they took on Team World. With CCM and size tagging in the collar, there’s also additional CCM, NHL and NHLPA embroidered crests on the back bottom hem. With large NHL team crest, the right shoulder features the ’98 All-Star Game patch, while the left has a NJ team crest. Scott has signed the back number at the bottom in black marker, and the signature is gorgeous, with only the slightest amount of bleeding.
In beautiful condition, there are no distinguishable signs of game-wear. It should also be noted that this garment was one of five jerseys worn by Stevens in either the official photo shoot, pre-game warm-up or one of the ASG's three periods. An LOA from the NHLPA will be included, where they have erroneously labeled this garment as an “Eastern Conference” example.
