Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018

Jacques Villeneuve made the decision to leave the powerful Williams Renault F-1 Team in order to work with Craig Pollock at the British American Racing (BAR) Formula One team for their inaugural 1999 season.
This Bell Dominator helmet was painted by Bell S.P.O.R.T.S. Europe in Jacques' traditional paint scheme and tagged 99-16 by Bell track staff. The helmet shows very nice wear inside and out and has all of Jacques’ customizations. The vents are closed-off, extra eye-port foam has been added, the drink tube is drilled and the full radio remains intact. There are 3 tear-offs still remaining on the race visor and Villeneuve applied his signature to the top one. This helmet has been photo-matched to an early 2000 season test session held February 8th, 2000 at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in South Africa. Also included is the original Bell carrying bag with “J.V. 99-16” handwritten annotations. This item is from Jacques Villeneuve’s personal collection and will come with his signed LOA.
