Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2019
Currently serving as the head coach of the Buffalo Jr. Sabres 12 and under squad, Rory Fitzpatrick was a 1993 draft choice of the Canadiens, seeing action in parts of two seasons with the Habs. This Canadiens jersey was worn by the Rochester native in the mid-1990s during his rookie era. A sewn-down Maska Ultrafil label sits along the collar, and with no sizing, the jersey measures-out to roughly a size 56, with embroidered NHL and CCM crests over the back bottom hem. Styled with the gorgeous and famous Habs CH team crest fashioned completely from tackle twill, the white V-neck has been embellished with dual-colour sleeve and verso numbers in matching material. There is an errant ballpoint pen line to the right of the team crest, with burns, marks and paint transfer over each sleeve. There is also some fraying to the threading on both sleeve numbers, with a small slit beneath the number on the right sleeve. We should also note evidence of a former nameplate, with some pilling beneath the fight strap. A team LOA will be included, signed on behalf of the Canadiens by Rejean Houle.
