Habs fans in particular will love this fab four of signed pieces that include a professionally framed and matted Jean Beliveau display, signed in clear blue marker by the legendary Gros Bill. Measuring an overall 22 ½” x 27 ½”, this great close-up shot of Jean in the 1960s shows only a few nicks in the metal frame, and the plaque below has moved slightly but can be corrected. Along with this is a 14” x 19” b&w photo on foam backboard of a happy Ab McDonald, Ralph Backstrom, and Bernie “Boom Boom” Geoffrion from the late-1950s, signed by HOFer Geoffrion (ind. 1972, dec. 2006) in clear but paled blue marker, and who has added “3-24-91” under his name. We also have a pair of illustrated montages on laminated boards, in nice condition and measuring 12” x 36”, with one titled “The Evolution” which shows goaltenders and their masks, with the Ken Dryden example beautifully signed in clear black marker by Dryden. The other, titled “The Original Six”, features images of Original Six arenas, with signatures in clear blue marker on their home barns from Bobby Hull, John Bucyk, Jean Beliveau, and Frank Mahovlich (the Mahovlich signature has a touch of smudging). Great displays, great signatures.
