Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019

Only the third American player in history to record 500 career goals, Jeremy Roenick skated for 5 different clubs during his 18 NHL seasons. The Boston native also dressed for an impressive 9 All-Star Games. Hailing from circa 1992-93, an era that witnessed Roenick score an identical career-high 107 points in back-to-back seasons, we have a signed stick used by the HOFer, with this example gifted from the superstar directly to our consignor, Ken Daniels. A sportscaster with CBC from 1985 to 1997, Daniels is currently the play-by-play announcer for the Detroit Red Wings on Fox Sports Detroit. An Easton Aluminum model with reversed shaft (Roenick is seen using an inverted shaft in photos from the era), “Roenick” appears over the inserted wooden blade, with “27” handwritten over the upper shaft (the two appears faded). The blade has been painted black leaving the identifiers visible, with the original black tape over the blade and white over the knob. Good use is exhibited, with wear to the blade and some chipping to the finish over the lower shaft. There is also red paint transfer over the shaft, handle and knob. Jeremy has signed over the upper shaft in black marker, with some wear and loss to the signature from rubbing. An LOA from Ken Daniels will accompany.
