Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
From his glorious heyday with Les Canadiens during the mid-1960s when he was awarded the first Conn Smythe Trophy in 1965, we have a game-used stick wielded by HOF legend Jean Beliveau. A CCM Pattern Made Custom Pro model, “Beliveau” and “4” appear on the upper shaft, with the stick retaining its black tape on the blade, with white “Gauze-style” tape over black on the knob. A stamp appears along the topside of the shaft from supplier McNiece’s, with great use exhibited on the “Pro Ok’d” example, with the striping accent no longer present. White tape beneath the black has been utilized across the toe section of the blade, with heavy wear around the heel section including numerous dark marks.
