Only the second player in history to reach the 1000 career point mark in regular season play, Jean Beliveau accomplished the feat March 3, 1968 at Detroit's Olympia, where the other 1000-point club member, Gordie Howe, had netted many of his goals and assists. On the power play early in the first, Beliveau beat Roger Crozier for his 424th career goal and 1000th point, with Bobby Rousseau and Dick Duff assisting on the historic marker. The early Converse Red Wings game puck Beliveau plotted for his 1000th has rubber-crested logos both front and back, with "1000 - Pts" and the date added in gold ink by Beliveau. In beautiful condition with no nicks or chips, a wooden shield plaque with engraved plate is included (along with a copy of the game’s scoresheet) to mount and display the puck if the winning bidder so desires. Originating from the collection of Jean Beliveau, his signed LOA will accompany.
