Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/6/2018
A rare opportunity, Classic Auctions is pleased to announce yet another partnership with the historic Montreal Canadiens franchise, one that will bring to auction a large and impressive bounty of jerseys fresh from the vast and seldom offered holdings of the storied hockey club. Examples are present from 2003-04 to 2014-15, with both important game-issued and game-worn jerseys offered, with a direct line from the actual player and the Canadiens franchise – to you, our loyal bidders. Each desirable jersey has inventory numbers from the Canadiens, with each to be accompanied by a letter of authenticity on Canadiens letterhead.
Another beautiful matched set, we have a pair of Canadiens jerseys from 2010-11, with a home example worn in the pre-season by Ian Schultz, along with an away example issued to and prepared for game use for the Calgary native. Each jersey features size "58" tagging along the collar with handwritten “1”, with embroidered NHL and Reebok crests on the reverse hem and back necklines respectively. Styled with the most famous and recognizable team crest in hockey, both V-neck sweaters have been accented with tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Schultz” across the nameplate of each in single twill. The worn preseason home example exhibits faints burns over the right sleeve, while the issued away jersey remains in wonderful condition. Team patches numbered “A02193” (home) and “A02459” (away) sit on the inside hems, while holograms affixed to the reverse numbers of each match the accompanying LOAs from the Canadiens.
