Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018

The first European-trained starting netminder to hoist Lord Stanley’s hardware, Dominik Hasek appeared for a number of NHL clubs throughout his impressive career. Hailing from the era when The Dominator was a three-time consecutive Vezina winner, we have a stick used while with Buffalo in the late-1990s, circa 1999-00. A Louisville TPS Kevlar model, “Hasek” factory graphics appear on the upper shaft, with the stick retaining its original tape over the blade and knob. The underside of the handle along the paddle has been custom-shaved for Hasek’s preferred grip, with nice use exhibited on the lumber including puck marks and wear to the taped section of blade. There is also some additional wear to the paddle along with red paint transfer along the underside of the shaft.
