A graduate of the University of Minnesota, starring for the Golden Gophers, Blake Wheeler was drafted 5th overall by Phoenix but his made his NHL debut with the Boston Bruins, in 2008-09. Later transitioning with Atlanta to Winnipeg, Wheeler currently serves as the Jets’ captain. These photo-matched skates were worn by the two-time All-Star during his rookie season with Boston in 2008-09, specifically during the first half of the season. CCM U+ models with Pro E blade holders and intact lacing, “42” is handwritten to the underside of the left skate’s blade holder (Wheeler wore #42 for his rookie season in Beantown), with inventory/production decals added to each. Heavy considerable use is exhibited, with tears to the material on both sides of each boot, with additional heavy wear including cuts, marks and abrasions to the blade holders.
