Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2019
A Colonel in the Union Army during the Civil War, Benjamin Harrison was first elected to a six-year term in the U.S. Senate before serving as the 23rd President of the United States, in office from March 4, 1889 to March 4, 1893. We have a signed White House card from the Ohio native. At approx 3 ¾” x 4 ¾”, the cream-coloured card feature’s a wonderful woodcut image of the White House, with Harrison signing beneath and slightly to the left in fountain pen, with the bold scripting displaying brilliantly. With just a few pencil notations over the reverse along with some faint discolouration, there are also two strips of thin paper affixed along the top. An LOA from JSA will accompany, with this desirable presidential-signed card ideal to frame with a photo. Harrison would pass away just after the turn of the century in 1901, at age 67.
