Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
Just in his 15th game of the 1982-83 NHL season, Wayne Gretzky notched his 10th of 71 goals, on route to 197 points and his third consecutive Art Ross Trophy. We have a gorgeous shadow box display with the actual puck Wayne banged home for his 10th goal on Nov 5th 1982. At roughly 20 ¾” x 24”, the puck has been mounted within the lower center, with three inserted action photos of the goal being plotted, with a gold-coloured plaque along the bottom left listing the particulars including his victim, the New York Rangers. Assisted by fellow HOFers Kurri and Lowe, the third period goal would be the 209th of Wayne’s historic career. The puck itself exhibits light to moderate wear with a small chunk of rubber missing near the top right, with the display in beautiful overall condition, with a copy of the game’s score sheet affixed to the reverse. An LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
