Rod Seiling represented Canada at the 1964 Winter Olympics, in Innsbruck Austria, and he brought home some neat mementoes. A Canadian Olympic hockey team media guide is signed inside by 27 including deceased HOFer Father David Bauer (head coach), Ken Broderick, Terry Clancy, Brian Conacher, Seth Martin and others. A trio of colorful embroidered patches includes a 1964 Canadian Olympic Team blazer patch (3 1/4” and still attached to a pocket), a large 1964 Olympic Games Canada crest (5 ¾”) and a 1964 Olympics Canada crest (3” – has light stains). Over 30 pins/badges attributed to the 1964 games are also included and features Seiling’s participant badge for the games (1 1/8” x 1 5/8” Wettkampfer pin), a Great Britain badge (1 1/4"), a Japanese delegation pin (3/4” x 7/8”) and numerous others. A signed LOA from Rod Seiling will accompany.
All signatures in the 1964 Canadian Olympic hockey team are nice and clean with the media guide showing good wear and some stains/creases to its covers. The majority of the pins/badges remain in excellent condition with some of the stick pins having bent “sticks”.
