Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2019
One of only two players in NHL history to be awarded the Lady Byng Trophy four-consecutive seasons in a row, Pavel Datsyuk spent 14 seasons in Motown, winning Stanley Cups in both 2002 and 2008. The model of stick used by Datsyuk in both 2011-12 and 2012-13, this particular game-used and signed stick was gifted from the superstar directly to our consignor, Ken Daniels. A sportscaster with CBC from 1985 to 1997, Daniels is currently the play-by-play announcer for the Detroit Red Wings on Fox Sports Detroit. A Reebok AJ9 model with blacked-out lower shaft, “Pasha” factory graphics appear over the upper shaft, with the original red cloth tape over the handle and knob. The blade tape has been removed to facilitate the attractive, silver paint pen signature that has been administered over the front side. Just light to moderate use is exhibited, with wear to the underside of the blade and lower shaft. An LOA from Ken Daniels will accompany.
