Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
Originating from the 2007 installment of the charitable Juno Cup hockey game, we have a signed jersey worn by legendary HOF defenceman Paul Coffey. SP labeling along with an “XL” size tag sit affixed to the collar, with a “Big Stick” patch over the reverse bottom hem. Styled with a “Juno Cup 2007” shield crest with embroidered detailing, the navy tie-neck has been accented with white tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with a “SaskPower” University of Saskatchewan crest over the right breast. Coffey has signed the first reverse “7” in blue marker, and the signature displays well. Game-wear consists of just a few faint marks, with the jersey remaining in wonderful condition. A signed LOA from Paul Coffey will accompany.
The Juno Cup is a yearly hockey game held in conjunction with the Juno Awards, first conducted at the 2004 Juno Awards. The games match National Hockey League alumni with artists and entertainers as a charitable benefit for MusiCounts, a music education charity operated by the CARAS. The Juno Cup has helped raise more than $700,000 for MusiCounts (formerly known as the CARAS Music Education Program) which in turn supported music programs across Canada.
