Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/30/2021
Produced specifically for the 2016 Winter Classic and featuring Montreal Canadiens iconography, these skates custom-made for PK Subban’s use are one of eight pairs made for the event, with each to be sold afterwards to raise funds for charity. Wearing three of the pairs during the game according to online information, we are unsure if these were worn in the game and/or practice(s) prior to the contest, with this model of skate worn by Subban during the January 5, 2016 regular season game vs the Flyers. CCM EPro models with “76” screened to each side and “Skateman” embroidered with logo over each ankle guard. “4” also appears at each side for Jean Beliveau, with “1909” embroidered to each tongue. “Special Edition” also appears over the CCM labels along with “PK Subban” and “2016 Winter Classic”. Sporting very light wear with a few marks to each, Subban has added silver ink signatures to each skate, with one signature exhibiting a smudge mark.
