Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2019
Hockey legend Marc Messier signed his 2000-01 New York Rangers two-piece Louisville TPS Rubber Graphite game-used stick. Messier’s original tape jobs are on the knob of the distinctive shaft, and the wood-colored Louisville blade insert with the “MESSIER” factory stamp. The six-time Stanley Cup champion placed a fine silver paint pen autograph low on the front of the shaft. The notation “2/19/01 vs Chi” is handwritten on the top of the knob. Messier had one shot in 16:58 during the Rangers’ 4-2 win over the Black Hawks at Madison Square Garden on February 19, 2001. His 67 points in the first season of his second stint on Broadway was the most productive of the final seven seasons of his Hall of Fame career.
