Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/30/2021
Leading the NHL in scoring during both the regular season and playoffs, Guy Lafleur would capture the Art Ross Trophy for his lofty 136 points in 1976-77, followed by the Conn Smythe that spring for his 26 postseason points while leading the Montreal Canadiens to their second-consecutive Stanley Cup championship. Originating from his personal collection, we have Guy Lafleur’s signed 1976-77 Conn Smythe Trophy plaque. At approx 10 ¾” x 11 ¾”, the solid wood shield-shaped plaque with beveled edges features an affixed Art Ross Trophy replica along with mounted hockey sticks and two pucks. An engraved plate at the base lists the details including “Conn Smythe Trophy”, “Winner 1976-77” and “Guy Lafleur”. Sporting surface wear and oxidation to the metal components along with scratches to the engraved plate, there is also a very fine separation line to the plaque directly to the right of the middle top section. The Flower has added a black marker signature to the reverse, with his signed LOA to accompany.
