Nicknamed "Captain Crunch", Gilles Marotte would play his junior hockey Victoriaville Bruins and Niagara Falls Flyers, winning the Memorial Cup in 1965 before embarking on a National Hockey League career that saw him suit up for the likes of the Boston Bruins, Chicago Black Hawks, Los Angeles Kings, New York Rangers and St. Louis Blues. Also playing a total of 73 games in the WHA during the 1977-78 season that was split between the Cincinnati Stingers and Indianapolis Racers, Marotte played in his lone NHL All-Star Game in 1973. Offered here, we present this collection of Marotte's cufflinks, tie clips and other jewelry that totals ten (10) pieces. Spearheaded by a Sher-Wood Drolet ring that was presented to him in 1999 that is stamped on the inside of the band with "Jostens" and "10K", his name is present over the right shank along with the year of "1999" while "Sher-Wood" and the image of hockey sticks is seen in the same place on the left side. Also including cufflink sets for the NHLPA (made of sterling), of hockey skates and of the Boston Bruins that also includes a matching tie-clip, a Los Angeles Kings tie clip with his initials engraved into one of the stick blades at them end is also present as is a small NHL shield lapel pin. Missing a small piece of mother of pearl from the Kings tie-clip, all the pieces remain in good condition while showing some light-to-moderate wear from age and use.
