Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2019
First developing in the OHL with Cornwall where he scored an amazing 177 points in 1982-83, Doug Gilmour began his NHL career in St Louis, spending five seasons with the Blues, with his most productive season occurring in 1986-87, topping the 100-point plateau. Hailing from that very season, we have a pair of plaques that were presented to the 2011 HOF inductee. Identical in size at approx. 12” x 15”, each plaque was awarded by Dodge and the NHL, with engraved metal plates listing the particulars, with facsimile signatures from Chrysler Chairman Lee Iacocca and NHL President John Ziegler. One was awarded for “Player of the Week”, for the week ending March 29th, while the second plaque was awarded for Gilmour’s ability to score “Tough” goals during the 1986-87 campaign. A signed LOA from Doug Gilmour will accompany.
Each plaque exhibits just light wear, with a few scratches to each metal plate, along with a few blemishes to each wooden plaque.
