Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018

Remembered for Owen Nolan’s hat trick in front his San Jose Sharks hometown fans which included his “called shot” third-goal on Dominik Hasek, the 1997 NHL All-Star Game witnessed a goal barrage, with the Eastern Conference defeating the West, 11-7. We have a signed Eastern Conference jersey from the event that served as one of five examples issued to Dominik Hasek, for either the photo shoot, pre-game warm-up or for use within one of the three periods. CCM, Center Ice and “Goalie Style” labels sit affixed to the collar along with a size “56” fly tag, with embroidered NHL and CCM crests on the reverse bottom hem. Featuring a partially embroidered “Eastern” team crest, the V-neck sweater has been accented with dual-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Hasek” across the upper reverse in matching material.
We should also note the 1997 All-Star Game patch that sits over the right shoulder, while a Sabres crest resides over the left. The All-Star Game stamp has been placed over the inside of the fight strap, with the serial number “844419” listed that indicates the jersey’s provenance as the aforementioned one of five examples issued to Hasek for the All-Star Game. The superstar netminder has also added a beautiful black marker signature to the reverse of the team crest, and it exhibits no issues. With just a few faint marks present, the garment remains in beautiful condition.
