Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
Seeing a season of WHA action before making his NHL debut with the Habs in 1979-80, Gaston Gingras spent parts of seven seasons with the club, also dressing for Toronto and St. Louis. This Canadiens jersey was worn by the Temiscaming native in the mid-1980s, circa 1986-87. A Maska Ultrafil label sits affixed to the collar, with an embroidered CCM crest on the back bottom hem. Styled with the gorgeous and famous Habs CH team crest fashioned completely from tackle twill, the red V-neck has been embellished with dual-colour sleeve and verso numbers in matching material. With just a few faint board burns present along with a stick mark over the left sleeve, the garment remains in beautiful condition. An LOA from the Canadiens’ organization will accompany.
