Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2015
Milestone stick is Brett Hull’s 1995-96 Blues Easton gamer that the Golden Brett used for his 102nd playoff point for St. Louis. Hull assisted along with fellow HOFer Wayne Gretzky on Stephen Leach’s goal in Game 6 of the Western Conference semifinal game against Detroit to surpass Bernie Federko as the Blues’ all-time playoff points leader, a record he holds to this day with 117. The milestone details are noted in black marker on a piece of white hockey tape that was applied to the bottom of the lower part of the gold-colored Easton Aluminum shaft, which has Hull’s tape job on the knob. Hull’s tape work also remains on the Christian wood blade insert. Comes with Brett Hull’s signed LOA.
The notation on the tape reads, “’96 102 playoff points Blues All Time Det Game #6 Goal Leach 99”. Hull also scored a goal in the game.
Nice game use to the bottom edge of the blade which has worn through part of the tape job towards the heel.
