Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
A little Beantown bonanza is offered up here in the form of autographed rookie cards, with those of admired Bruins Doug Mohns and Don McKenney (1954-55 Topps) leading chronologically. The Mohns signature is shaky/blurry while that of McKenney is perfect, with the cards themselves crease-free and in the EX neighborhood. All-time great Johnny Bucyk added his "#9" and "H.O.F. 1981" to his signature on a '57-58 RC which is crease-free but wavy/warped and with two specs of paper loss on the back. From the same year is a pleasing Larry Hillman card, accompanied by a PSA NM 7 label. An EX+ '61-62 Pat Stapleton rookie, a VG-EX Harry Sinden '66-67 representative (with "H.H.O.F. 1983" notation) and a '74-75 O-Pee-Chee Don Cherry RC (EX-MT) complete the lot, with all but the Cherry card accompanied by signature provenance. Certificates of Authenticity are with the Bucyk, Stapleton and Sinden cards, while the Mohns and McKenney come with Scoreboard Legends COAs. A Hammertime Sports Card autograph ticket is with the Hillman. Inviting cards and autographs to entice Bruins' faithful.
