Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
Lovers of low grade material will love the chance to secure these 1952-53 Parkies, with each and every one of the 96 cards affected by two staple holes. Sometimes they're in the upper portion of the card and quite obvious while other times their presence is more subtle in the lower portion. Side-to-side creases, some of them heavy, are joined by other creases and corner/edge wear. The lineup and the images are still swell though, with first year cards of Tim Horton, Dickie Moore and George Armstrong leading the rookie card parade. Creases and holes in the Gordie Howe example are in the lower region and not so unsightly, with however glue residue on the back. The Sawchuk is heavily creased, while other Hall of Famers present include Lach, Lindsay, Harvey, Geoffrion, Kennedy, Schmidt, Mosienko, Lumley and others. The first card, of Maurice Richard, is among those not present, the others being #s 22-Rayner, 26, 30, 37, 41, 49, 77 and 98.
