The all-time leader (shared with Wayne Gretzky) at the All-Star Game for both career goals and goals scored in a single game, Mario Lemieux was a five-time NHL First All-Star Team selection, with All-Star MVP accolades occurring in 1985, 1988 and 1990. We have a 1990 NHL All-Star Game Wales Conference captain’s jersey worn by the HOF superstar, and it’s been both signed and photo-matched. Maska Air-Knit labeling with handwritten star and “52” is affixed to the collar, with embroidered CCM and NHL crests over the back bottom hem. Styled with a gorgeous NHL shield team crest in the familiar orange and black along with tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, the 41st NHL All-Star Game crest resides over the right shoulder. Six small tackle twill stars have also been placed along the lower front and reverse band. Mario has signed beneath the captain’s “C” in black, and the signature displays well.
Game-wear includes just a few random faint marks, which is to be expected on an All-Star jersey. Regarding the previously mentioned photo-match, the cover of the February 1991 Beckett Hockey Monthly that pictures Lemieux has been matched to the specific details of the captain's "C", the small loose orange thread on the lower middle portion of the NHL team crest and to the positioning of the first "6" of "66" on the left sleeve. Rarely seen in the hobby, this is one of only a few Lemieux game-worn All-Star Game jerseys we have ever offered.
