Jacques Plante Auction March 2006
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/28/2006
Significant Vancouver Canucks black road jersey is from Pavel Bure’s second NHL season, one which saw the electrifying speedster follow up his Calder trophy-winning year with an inspiring 60-goal campaign, much to the delight of Canuck faithful. CCM knit jersey has a Maska Ultrafil and a size 54 fly tag in the collar and features the Stanley Cup centennial and Canuck Place patches on the right breast and shoulder respectively. Great game use includes over a dozen good black stick marks on the front and more on the sleeves where spots of red board paint and light burns can be spotted. A 1-inch team repair on the left sleeve, a half dozen black stick marks on the back and Pavel’s autograph on the “1” on the back are also of note. Time flies; it seems like yesterday that the recently retired Russian great was dazzling the hockey world with his speed and scoring prowess. An original letter of authenticity from Byron’s Hockeyland will be included with this special jersey.
