A mixed back of goodies spanning from the 1910s right up until the late-1980s, we offer a multi-sport collection of 18 items. Included, we have the sports section of the Oct 6, 1917 edition of the Winnipeg Tribune with large images of Ray Schalk, Eddie Cicotte, Lew McCarty and Ferdie Schupp (toning and expected newsprint wear), three “postcards” of Frank Baker, the 1910/1911 Philadelphia Athletics and Honus Wagner (all appear to be images trimmed from period guides and mounted to cardboard stock, with residue on the reverse of each from scrapbook removal), a 1915 Saturday Evening Post Tuxedo tobacco ad with Ty Cobb, Christy Mathewson, Roger Breshnahan, Miller Huggins, Grover Cleveland Alexander and Dick Hoblitzell (10” x 14”, toning and a few small edge tears), a 1929 Spalding full-colour two-sided ad (8” x 10 ½”, possibly trimmed from a publication?), a copy of Nat Fleischer’s book Jack Dempsey – The Idol of Fistiana from 1929 (heavy wear), a circa 1930s Kessler’s Whiskey “Baseball – 1878” print (10” x 14” with toning), a vintage Joe DiMaggio’s restaurant napkin, a still sealed pack of 1940s/50s Remembrance playing cards with John McGraw image, a rarely seen 1950s We McKights Canadian Football board game (incomplete, with the game board present and box – with the aprons crushed on the box and heavy wear), a 1980s AL baseball signed by Moose Skowron (areas of toning), and late-1980s NL baseballs signed by Jerome Walton and Kevin Mitchell, a 1961 Babe Ruth League rules and regulations booklet, and lastly, a trio of vintage 30” pennants including 1960s LA Dodgers and LA Angels and late-1960s Montreal Canadiens (moderate wear to the group).
