Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021

A product of the Prince Albert Raiders, spending five seasons with his hometown club, Dave Manson was drafted 11th over in 1985 by the Chicago Black Hawks and appeared for seven different clubs throughout his career. Acquired by Montreal late in 1996-97 (March 18, 1997), Manson would see action in 9 regular-seasons games and 5 playoff contests that season after arriving, and wore the #37 jersey for just the remainder of the season. This Montreal Canadiens jersey was worn by Manson in 1996-97. A Maska label and size “58” fly tag are affixed to the collar, with embroidered NHL and CCM crests on the reverse hem. Styled with the famous and sacred CH team crest, “37” appears over the sleeves and verso in layered tackle twill, with “Manson” across the affixed nameplate in single blue twill. Exhibiting light game use with a few marks over the sleeves, we should note that there is evidence of a former nameplate, and considering the “goalie cut” sizing of the jersey, it was most likely first worn by Tomas Vokoun in 1996-97 (played one regular-season game wearing #37). An LOA will accompany.
