Awarded the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy in 2017, goaltender Craig Anderson was drafted by the Calgary Flames in 1999 but made his NHL debut for the Chicago Black Hawks in 2002-03. The Illinois native spent 10 seasons in the nation’s capital with the Senators, with the offered mask worn in the 2019-20 NHL season. A Bauer model with Textreme shell and intact cage, back plate and interior padding, the paint scheme was executed by Sylvie Marsolais of Sylabrush (signed on the left side) and features a matte surface with Senators motif in team colours, with “41” in stylized numerals over the chin section, and a clean unmarked back plate. Getty Images #1186528169 and #1186528182 (Dec 4, 2019) as well as #1194392884 (Dec 7, 2019) show the matching paint design and placement of holes in correlation to the graphics, but the images do not provide high enough resolution to be called definitive photo-matches. Exhibiting light surface wear throughout, there is some minor chipping at the chin section, with no large unsightly marks or damage. A Bauer storage/carry bag will also accompany the mask.
It should also be noted that Getty Images #1194387481 (Dec 7, 2019) shows the matching paint design including the two tiny black marks on the top section, but the image does not provide high enough resolution to be called a definitive photo-match. Additionally, the current white back plate is not the same as shown in the Getty Images, with black straps also showing in the images as opposed to the current white straps. Lastly, the mask was most likely worn later in practices and possibly as a back-up, as a number of small chips are present that do not show up in the Getty Images of Dec 4th and Dec 7th.
