Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
The third and final player to wear the #16 jersey for the Montreal Canadiens, Henri Richard witnessed his number retired by the Habs immediately after he hung up his skates in 1975, with the #16 jersey further honoured as the number worn famously by preceding HOF members Toe Blake and Elmer Lach. Produced in the mid-2000s, we have Richard’s number “16” 10K gold pendant. At approx ¾” x ¾” and with a weight of 15 grams, “16” sits centered over the top, inset with zirconias and bordered with red synthetic stones, encompassed by “Henri Richard” in raised letters. The reverse has his name engraved, with “Jostens 10K” stamped. Displaying beautifully, there is some light wear over the front and reverse.
