Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
The first time the hugely popular spectacle was ever held in Indiana, Super Bowl XLVI took place in front of over 68,000 enthusiastic Midwestern fans at Lucas Oil Stadium, on Feb 2, 2012, and featured Eli Manning’s underdog New York Giants defeating a strong New England Patriots squad led by Tom Brady. This lot contains a collection of items totaling seven, with each signed by either MVP Eli Manning, or star running back Ahmad Bradshaw. First, we have an official Wilson Super Bowl XLVI football with wonderful graphics, with Manning adding a huge silver paint pen signature, with just a tiny bit of rubbing in spots from handling. The original packaging is also included. This is followed by three identical matching Giants jerseys with “Super Bowl XLVI” crests and Bradshaw’s “44” in tackle twill, with the Virginia native signing over the first reverse number of each in black marker, with one having a “GWTD” notation. Rounding out the lot, we have a trio of oversized photos (16” x 20”), with each signed in blue sharpie by Manning, including a pair with matching image from Super Bowl XLII, along with one that shows Manning in game-action vs the 49ers. We should note some edge and corner wear to the photos. Holograms have been affixed to each jersey including two with JSA stickers, with Steiner holograms on the football and each photo, with COAs to accompany for the two matching image photos.
