Intriguing regional issues here are highlighted by 26 scarce cards which have been referred to as "Juniors Blue Tint" over the years, with a wrapper discovered in recent years informing that Bedard & Donaldson was the issuer, the same Quebec company that produced QSHL cards, known as "Laval Dairy". Junior teams from Ontario and Quebec played an inter-locking schedule in 1952-53, explaining the "blue tint" set's lineup. Best known and having had stints in the NHL are three slabbed EX 5 by PSA; 26-Ken Schinkel, 61-Ron Murphy and 80-Phil Watson (Quebec coach), with 25-Brian Cullen at VG-EX 4 and goalie 64-Marcel Paille at VG 3. Best condition-wise are 56-Beattie and 83-Hillman at EX-MT 6, while 14-G. Marcotte is a NM 7 (OC). There are (15) EX 5s; #s 15, 21, 35, 37, 38, 49, 53, 67, 78, 84, 86, 87, 88, 90 and 95. Also in the mix are #s 82-J. Marcotte (VG-EX+ 4.5), 6 (VG-EX 4) and 7 (VG 3). Meanwhile '51-52 Quebec Senior cards include a trio at EX-MT 6; 23-Smrke, 43-Campeau and 93-Desaulniers, with 96-Clune at EX 5. Low PSA pop numbers on the blue tints equals an infrequent opportunity for collectors of obscure/vintage material.
