Scoring a hefty 127 playoff points throughout his HOF career including 64 goals, Yvan Cournoyer captured the coveted Conn Smythe and led the NHL in postseason scoring during the Montreal Canadiens 1972-73 Stanley Cup championship. Use of the offered stick is attributed to Cournoyer during the 1972-73 Stanley Cup playoffs. A Sher-Wood model with “Cournoyer” and “12” stamped to the upper shaft, the original black tape is in place on the blade and shaved knob, with additional stamps on each side from longtime team supplier McNiece’s. There is also a date stamp of “6 Apr 1973”, with handwritten text in ballpoint on both sides of the upper shaft of “Record 14 Playoff Goals” and “May 17 1973 Stanley Cup Winner”. Moderate game-use is exhibited, with a few marks to the lower shaft, with the blade tape worn and loose in a few spots.
