Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
Arguably the world’s most collected hockey club, we have a great vintage pennant collection of seven, with each featuring the famous Montreal Canadiens, with one example signed. All approx 29” in length give or take, we have six examples that all have matching graphics (colours and the logo design differ slightly), with solid red bodies, large team logos and blue tassels, with a pair dated “1968”, both with softer felt, with one having numerous pinholes and a torn tip, the other, a few small stains to the team emblem. Next, we have a soft felt example dated “1969”, in beautiful condition with light wrinkles near the tip, with Gump Worsley signing in blue marker within the Habs logo. The final three pennants that match in design are all dated “1970”, with one having the original "Rah Rahs" cardboard point-of-sale sleeve attached, and it remains in high grade. Another has pinholes, while the third has a fold over the left border. The final Canadiens pennant is circa-1960s, with soft felt and a circular logo, with red tassels that are both folded. There are pinholes present along with wear to the tip.
