A fifth round selection by the Canadiens in the 1988 NHL Entry Draft, Popovic finally arrived in Montreal in time for the start of the 1993-94 season. He went on to play over 300 games in a Habs uniform. With multiple team repairs, this mid-1990s rookie era size 58 CCM red road Montreal Canadiens jersey looks as if it has been through plenty of battles on the ice. Popovic certainly wore it with pride as you can spot two large team repairs and a black mark on the white area of the right sleeve. On the opposite arm, it is hammered near the number 34 with a team repair right beside it. At the bottom of that sleeve, the red area shows a large unrepaired hole at the elbow along with two team repairs. The blue area just above that exhibits another team fix as well as a pair of small board burns. Neither shoulder was immune from rough play as there is damage on the right side to go along with two black marks and a large repair on the left. A subtle long white mark takes up some real estate on the front of the sweater, but the back boasts two more medium-sized repairs on the left side near the name plate and the number 3. Also on the back, you will spot a long black mark near the fight strap and the snaps have left an imprint in the material. Inside the jersey, there is plenty of pilling – especially along the back left shoulder. At the back of the bottom hem, there is a large CCM logo along with the black and orange NHL shield. Obtained directly from the Canadiens, a LOA from the team signed by Rejean Houle will accompany.
