Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2020
Part of the 2017 NHL All-Star Game festivities and originating from a prestigious ceremony at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles where the NHL’s all-time top 100 players were named, we have a blazer worn by one of the honoured players, four-time Frank J Selke-winner and former Habs captain Bob Gainey, with this accompanied by a pair of cuff links made from a 2017 Stanley Cup playoffs puck along with a Canadiens jersey signed by Gainey and four additional players who made the "NHL Top 100 Players” list, with Ken Dryden, Serge Savard, Jacques Lemaire and Larry Robinson. The blazer was produced by John Varvatos, with his sewn label affixed just above the inside pocket, with additional labels including “60” sizing within the pocket. An NHL centennial crest is embroidered over the left breast, with both of the original lapel buttons intact. Hailing from his personal collection, a signed LOA from Bob Gainey will accompany.
The jersey was most likely worn in the "NHL Top 100 Players" event, with the black marker signatures placed over the upper reverse, with each displaying nicely with minimal bleeding. The blazer remains in beautiful condition, with no obtrusive wear.
