Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2020
Beginning life in 2002 and taking the place of the beloved Rough Riders who ceased operations in 1996 after 120 years, this first year Ottawa Rengades jersey was worn in 2002 by Eddie Brown. A date/size swatch of “02-44” is affixed to the collar with handwritten “4”, with a CFL crest over the front neckline and Puma crest over the upper reverse. Styled with “4” over the front, reverse and shoulders in black-over-red tackle twill, there is also heat-pressed team logos over each sleeve and evidence of a removed “Molson Canadian” patch over the left breast. Sporting just a few faint marks near the front number, there are also a few scrapes over the shoulders and a team repair beneath the nameplate.
