Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2019
A second round draft choice of the Buffalo Sabres in 1991, Jason Dawe suited up Team Canada at the World Juniors in 1993, winning a gold medal while scoring 6 points in only 7 games. From his single-season with Montreal where he dressed for 37 games, we have a Canadiens jersey worn by Dawe in 1998-99. A Center-Ice label from Starter graces the collar, with a “54-R” size swatch over the inside hem. Styled with the most famous team crest in hockey, “21” appears over the sleeves and verso in red, white and blue layered tackle twill, with “Dawe” across the affixed nameplate in single blue twill. A few dark marks are visible over the lower front and left sleeve, with a small slit over the left elbow. There is also considerable staining over verso – possibly blood – situated to the left of the numbers. A team LOA will be included, signed on behalf of the Canadiens by Rejean Houle.
