Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021

Widely regarded as one of the NHL’s all-time greatest goaltenders despite seeing action in parts of a mere eight seasons, Ken Dryden was a member of six Stanley Cup championships while also earning the Calder Memorial and Conn Smythe Trophies. Acquired directly from the legend by an individual working in parliament, we have a pair of items signed by Dryden, with a Canadiens jersey and framed picture display. The jersey is a Reebok model with “L” sizing and tackle twill team crest and numbers, with Dryden adding a thin black marker signature to the reverse “9” along with a personalization, with some minor bleeding occurring. The display features what appears to be a center spread from a vintage magazine, with each page matted, framed to full dimensions of 16 ½” x 24”. The picture includes a number of images of the superstar along with French text on the right side, with Dryden placing a silver paint pen signature that displays well with matching personalization on the right side.
We should also note that the jersey was previously displayed in a frame, with a few pin holes visible from its former mounting.
