Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2020
Seeing action for nearly sixteen years of professional hockey without a playoffs appearance, Ron Hainsey was rewarded for his perseverance, winning the Stanley Cup with Pittsburgh during his first post-season performance, in 2016-17. This photo-matched Leafs jersey was worn by Hainsey during the following season, in 2017-18. An Adidas band with “58” sizing resides over the inner collar, with NHL and Adidas crests over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Featuring a vintage style Leafs team crest with “Toronto Maple Leafs” embroidered, “2” appears over the sleeves and verso in oversized single white twill, with “Hainsey” across the affixed nameplate in matching material. Exhibiting light to moderate game-use, there are a few marks visible including over the team crest, with a few heavy board burns visible over the lower right sleeve. Getty Image #941188480 (April 2, 2018) has been matched to the mark over the bottom of the team crest and specifically to its shape and placement, and to the mark over the “2” on the left sleeve. The team patch numbered “H0280” is situated over the inside hem, with a matching COA to accompany from the Leafs.
