An MLB journeyman over his lengthy career, Jim Dwyer appeared for a number of clubs including Montreal, Minnesota and Boston, winning a World Series championship with the Orioles in 1983. In his capacity as a minor league roving hitting coordinator with the Minnesota Twins, we have a 2002 Edmonton Trappers PCL Championship 10K gold ring that was presented to the Illinois native. Large size 11 1/2 ring with an approx. weight of 44 grams, it is stamped on the inner band "IGO" and "10K". A number of zirconias surround the centralized Trappers logo over the face, encompassed by two pairs of bright green stones along with “Pacific Coast League Champions” in slanted, raised letters. The right band proclaims “Dwyer” with a Minnesota Twins raised logo, while the left sports a Trappers logo with “2002” below, and “Edmonton” above. A fold-open wooden presentation box accompanies the ring, with a small gold inner plaque stating the team, year and recipient.
The ring does exhibit moderate wear from use, with scratches and a few edge nicks over the outer band, along with numerous additional scratches on the inner band. The wooden presentation box also sports scratches and wear, including over the top of the lid and bottom, with a small red mark visible.
