Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019

Another productive season, Guy Lafleur would register 70 points in just 51 games in 1980-81, with this his tenth year in a Habs sweater. Hailing from that very season, we have a stick used by the Thurso native. A signed Sher-Wood PMP 5030 model, “Lafleur” and “10” are stamped-on, with a factory date code along the underside of “4 Nov 1980”. Featuring a pleasing curve and intact striping accent, the stick retains its white tape on the shaved handle/knob, with the black tape removed from the blade. Light use is exhibited, with wear to the underside/heel of the blade and lower shaft, with a few small areas of red paint transfer over the shaft. “To Denis” is handwritten in ballpoint, with a pair of Lafleur and Toe Blake signatures that appear to be clubhouse examples.
